We’re looking for a passionate, engaging and innovative English teacher and Reading & Literacy Leader to bring our team to the next level, either a keen ECT looking to develop their expertise with support from a motivated team, or an experienced teacher ready to put their stamp on their teaching offering. This is the perfect time to join our team – we are well on the way to becoming an outstanding faculty, with consistently improving results and 33% A* at A level.

You will have a passion for learning and teaching in English together with the skills to inspire and motivate our students. Our students really enjoy their English lessons, and they make excellent progress.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Delivering high-quality teaching to years 7 – 11, and 6th form (depending on experience)
  • Establishing a stimulating environment for all students, setting challenging targets that build on prior attainment
  • Developing the literacy and reading curriculum across the secondary phase and promote a love of reading amongst our students
  • Working with colleagues to develop the English offering in line with the vision and ethos of the Academy
