Can you help a child see possibilities for their future that they may never have considered before?

At Oasis Restore, we believe every child should have the opportunity to discover what they are good at, experience new things and develop genuine aspirations for their future.

Covering some long term absence within the team, as our Careers and Enrichment Leader (fixed-term), you will build partnerships with employers, education providers, charities and other organisations, creating an exciting programme of enrichment and careers opportunities for children at the country's first secure school. You will coordinate activities and events, support careers education and work with individual children to help them explore routes into education, training and employment.

This is not just about careers advice. It is about opening doors, broadening horizons and creating opportunities.

You will need to be an excellent relationship-builder, a natural organiser and someone who can see potential in children even when they may struggle to see it in themselves.

If that sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.

The role and what we are looking for?

You do not necessarily need to have followed one particular career path. What matters is that you can bring people and opportunities together, build strong external partnerships and turn good ideas into high-quality experiences for children.

You will be someone who:

  • has a genuine belief in the potential of children and young people
  • can develop positive relationships with children, colleagues and external partners
  • is confident building networks with employers, education providers and community organisations
  • is organised, creative and able to coordinate a varied programme of activities
  • can combine appropriate challenge with encouragement and support
  • communicates confidently with a wide range of people
  • understands the importance of safeguarding and professional boundaries
  • can remain flexible, reflective and calm in a complex environment.
