About the Role
Oasis House Ltd is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Nominated Individual to provide strategic oversight of a supported accommodation service for young people aged 16–17. The Nominated Individual will act as the primary link between the provider and Ofsted and will be responsible for ensuring that the service operates in full compliance with the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 and safeguarding standards. This is a senior governance role requiring strong leadership, regulatory knowledge and experience in children’s social care.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact between the provider and Ofsted
- Ensure the service operates in full compliance with the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023
- Provide effective oversight and supervision of the Registered Service Manager
- Monitor safeguarding practices and ensure appropriate responses to incidents
- Oversee quality assurance processes, audits and service performance
- Ensure policies, procedures and the Statement of Purpose are implemented effectively
- Promote a strong safeguarding culture across the service
- Maintain effective relationships with local authorities, safeguarding partners and external agencies
- Ensure the service delivers positive outcomes for young people aged 16–17
- Support continuous improvement and regulatory compliance
Essential Requirements
- Significant experience in children’s social care, supported accommodation, or a related safeguarding role
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and multi-agency working
- Understanding of the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023
- Experience in leadership, governance or management of services
- Ability to provide oversight, challenge and support to service managers
- Strong understanding of the needs of looked-after children and care leavers
- Ability to meet Ofsted’s “fit person” requirements
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience as a Nominated Individual or Responsible Individual
- Social work qualification or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management
- Experience working within an Ofsted-regulated service
- Experience in quality assurance, compliance or service improvement

Working Arrangement
