About the Role: Almac Pharma Services are seeking an experienced Senior Operator Grade 3 for a key role within our Laxido operations in Craigavon. This position is ideal for individuals currently working as Line Leaders, Team Leaders or Supervisors who enjoy leading people on the production floor while remaining hands-on with operations. Reporting to a Production Supervisor, you will coordinate day-to-day activities on the floor, support team performance, and ensure batches are completed correctly in line with company and client requirements. You will act as a role model for GMP and quality excellence, while helping to train and develop others and drive continuous improvement within designated operations.
What you’ll be doing:
- Coordinate and supervise Process Operators and Senior Operators Grade 2 to ensure work is completed in compliance with GMP, SOP’s and other requirements.
- Delegate tasks effectively, monitor performance, and provide clear direction during live operations.
- Support the training, development and competency assessment of operators.
- Address issues promptly on the floor, including people-related concerns, escalating appropriately to the Production Supervisor where required.
- Coordinate production activities to support schedule adherence and efficient use of resources.
- Use process knowledge to support downtime reduction, process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as a key link between production and support functions to ensure materials, documentation and equipment are available when required.
- Provide regular updates to Supervisors on progress, issues and improvement opportunities.
What we’re looking for:
- GCSEs (or equivalent level qualifications) at Grade C or above in English, Maths and Science.
- Significant experience within a pharmaceutical manufacturing or packaging environment.
- Proven experience leading or supervising teams on a production floor.
- Strong understanding of GMP, quality standards and documentation requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead by example and influence others.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

Additional Information: During periods of additional work requests this role will require additional coverage beyond normal working hours. It is a condition of your employment that you can fulfil this requirement of the role.
