We are recruiting for a Formulation Development Technical Leader to take responsibility for the delivery of high-quality Formulation Development projects. In this role, you will manage a balanced portfolio of development projects, providing both hands-on scientific input and oversight of team activities to ensure work is delivered in line with agreed client timelines, budgets and regulatory expectations.
You will support project delivery through regular internal and external project engagement, take responsibility for the quality of scientific outputs from Formulation Development studies, and ensure CMC activities are completed in accordance with current regulatory and cGMP standards. Acting as a technical expert within the team, you will also provide guidance and support to Formulation Development Scientists, helping to ensure projects follow the correct scientific direction and meet client requirements.
What you will need to be successful:
- Eligibility to work in the UK OR possess a valid work permit that will allow you to take up full time, permanent employment in the UK.
- Bachelor’s Degree or PhD (or equivalent) in a Life Science or Engineering discipline.
- A proven track record in developing drug product formulations and processes suitable for phase I, II and III stages of pharmaceutical development.
- Significant hands-on experience in pharmaceutical development, GMP manufacturing and packaging processes.
- Experience in dealing with clients and presenting on technical topics related to scientific experiments and supporting business development activities.
