Job Purpose
We are looking to appoint an excellent, enthusiastic, creative and motivated SEND TA2. The successful applicant will have a keen interest in predominantly working with a SEND pupil, mainly on a one to one basis in a classroom setting but sometimes in a group, during lunchtime and break times to model appropriate behaviour and encourage participation. The role will also involve personal care and manual handling. We are looking for a staff member who has a passion or specialism in the area: speech, language and communication needs.
You will need to be wholly committed to becoming an integral member of our staff team and will:
- Have high expectations and a strong commitment to raising standards for a child with SEND
- Will make learning exciting, memorable and bespoke for the pupil in collaboration with the class teacher
- Have experience and a keen interest in supporting SEND pupils, including pupils with complex needs
- Be trained, or a willingness to be trained, in manual handling.
- Undertake personal care
- Under the direction of the teacher, to support effective teaching and learning by working with individuals or small groups of students.
- Have experience of working with children with SEMH needs (desirable)
