Hunter Adams is delighted to support our client Oasis Community Learning in sourcing a Reward Manager to join their team.
Oasis Community Learning is a forward-thinking Multi-Academy Trust committed to creating an environment where both employees and students can thrive. As they continue to grow and evolve, their People and Culture team is at the heart of supporting the Trust. With a new structure in place, they are seeking an experienced, organised and motivated Reward Manager to join their dynamic team.
The Role:
The Reward Manager will work closely with the Head of Reward and Recognition to manage the development, implementation and continuous improvement of OCL’s reward initiatives, policies, and processes, including pay, job architecture, benefits, and recognition programmes. You will manage the effective delivery of reward and benefit programmes and projects across OCL, acting as the expert on reward best practice, and ensuring compliance with reward frameworks, legislation, governance and policies
In this role you will:
- Work with the Head of Reward and Recognition to define and deliver the reward strategy and framework, ensuring that Reward reflects best practice, supports OCL's objectives and that reward related risks are effectively managed
- Lead the delivery of effective compensation, benefits and recognition programmes, working in collaboration with People Operations, other Centres of Expertise and third-party vendors
- Manage OCL's job architecture and pay structures, ensuring that they are fit for purpose, consistently applied, and the relevant risks are appropriately managed
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of reward and recognition policies and processes ensuring that they are properly communicated, easy to understand and that high quality guidelines and toolkits are available to managers
- Act as the reward SME on change and key reward projects and lead on the development of innovative reward initiatives that support the delivery of OCL’s strategic objectives
- Provide expert reward advice to the People team to deliver effective reward and benefits policies and programmes, and act as an escalation point for resolving complex casework queries, ensuring the approach is consistent with policy and best practice.
We are looking for:
- Demonstrated experience as a Reward specialist in complex organisations, preferably to include experience within the Education or public sector
- Experience in the operational management of job architecture, salary benchmarking, compensation, benefit and recognition programmes
- Knowledge of managing and communicating engaging benefit programmes involving insured and non-insured benefits, including plan design, build, renewals and implementation
- Credibility in dealing with, presenting to, and influencing stakeholders, with the ability to work cross-functionally and with external providers
- Organisational and project management skills and the ability to effectively manage priorities and timelines
- Strong analytical skills and high proficiency in Excel, with an ability to build models and reports, and analyse large volumes of data
This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation with a positive purpose as they embark on a journey to build the foundations of a new People and Culture model, getting the basics right and delivering meaningful projects that focus on the things that matter to retain their current people and attract the future talent to deliver exceptional education.
