Hunter Adams is delighted to support our client Oasis Community Learning in sourcing multiple HR professionals to join their People and Culture Team based in locations across England. Oasis Community Learning is a forward-thinking Multi-Academy Trust committed to creating an environment where both employees and students can thrive. As they continue to grow and evolve, their People and Culture team is at the heart of supporting the Trust. With a new structure in place, they are seeking proactive, adaptable, and motivated People Managers to join their dynamic team.

The Role:

As People Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality HR services across the Oasis Community Learning academies. Your role will deliver effective operational support across a range of People activities. Working collaboratively with the wider People team and Centres of Expertise (CoE's) to deliver regional people plans that address specific functional people challenges, driving a high-performance culture through coaching and influencing leaders, executing and embedding change initiatives, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.

In this role you will:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and the broader People team, helping to implement people activities and objectives, providing expert guidance on areas such as change management, restructuring, resource planning, employee relations and conflict resolution.
  • Utilise HR expertise to ensure academies have the right support to meet their objectives, focusing on talent attraction, retention, and efficiently resolving employee relations issues.
  • Take ownership of complex employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans, managing Trade Union relationships to ensure fair outcomes.
  • Manage and ensure the smooth operation of the employee life cycle and oversee all cyclical people processes.
  • Lead and deliver People projects and change initiatives, acting as a role model and advocate for change.

We are looking for:

  • Demonstrated experience as an HR generalist in complex organisations, ideally within a unionised environment and with a background in the Education or public sector.
  • Deep understanding of people and employee relations processes, including handling complex casework and managing organisational change effectively.
  • Proven ability to analyse and align organisation strategy with people plans, driving delivery through cross-functional teams.
  • Strong skills in influencing, partnering, and relationship-building, with a track record of working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to establish trusted relationships.
  • Solid change management expertise, with the capability to apply project management principles to support and deliver organisational change.
  • A solutions-focused mindset with a collaborative approach to problem-solving and delivering results.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation with a positive purpose as they embark on a journey to build the foundations of a new People and Culture model, getting the basics right and delivering meaningful projects that focus on the things that matter to retain their current people and attract the future talent to deliver exceptional education.
