Oasis Academy Arena is seeking an enthusiastic, committed and ambitious individual to join our team as a Specialist Teaching Assistant Apprentice (Level 5) with HLTA. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential whilst gaining a nationally recognised Level 5 Specialist Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship qualification. The role combines specialist SEND support with Higher Level Teaching Assistant responsibilities, providing a unique pathway for career progression in education.

Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff, you will play a key role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop confidence and independence, and thrive both academically and personally.

Job Purpose:
  • Supporting pupils in lessons, interventions and enrichment activities.
  • Delivering targeted support for pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND and SEMH.
  • Leading learning activities for individuals, small groups and, where appropriate, whole classes.
  • Supporting teaching staff with planning, preparation and assessment.
  • Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to reviews and support plans.
  • Promoting positive behaviour, wellbeing and inclusion.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, families and external professionals to improve outcomes for young people.
