Do you want to make a real difference to young people's lives? We are looking for a committed and compassionate person to work and support our students on our onsite alternative provision, Phoenix, and our emotionally vulnerable onsite provision supporting students with anxiety. These students may have social, emotional, and/or mental health needs to ensure that they make good academic progress and equip them to return back into mainstream lessons.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a high performing team who share a passionate commitment to securing the best possible life chances for our young people. Our mission is focused around entitling our students, staff, and community to an exceptional education:
- Leading happy and healthy lives
- Transforming lives and empowering communities
- Providing an exceptional educational experience
We place a high value on the personal development and professional learning for our staff, and all teaching staff have reduced contact time accordingly. By being part of Oasis Community Learning, which has 52 academies nationally, you will benefit from a strong support network and partnership within the South Coast and South West regions, working collaboratively with the other Academies in Southampton. You will have many opportunities to develop and share best practice to drive continual improvement, including through regional improvement networks and access to a competitive CPD programme nationally.
These include but are not limited to:
- Defined benefit pension scheme (inc. life cover, lower tax, set rate 1/49 and ill health cover) - average input of 18.2% from us!
- Access to free counselling service
- Free eye tests
- Cycle-to-work scheme
- Healthcare Cash Plan scheme
- A lively environment with colleagues who care
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff to share this commitment and to undergo appropriate checks, including enhanced DBS checks and a willingness to demonstrate commitment to the values and behaviours which flow from the Oasis Community Learning ethos. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
Application Procedure: Please take time to look over the recruitment information contained on our website. Further information and an application pack can be found on our website under Current Vacancies. For further information or an informal discussion about the role and the Academy, please contact Lauren Grist via the main school telephone number.
Oasis Academy Mayfield is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
