Job/Person Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join the Academy Community Lettings Team.

This position will initially be based on Saturdays during daytime hours, with exact working hours to be discussed and agreed at interview.

There may be flexibility around hours for the right candidate.

The successful applicant will work Saturdays as part of the Academy Lettings Team, supporting the operation of the Academy's Fitness Suite, Sports and Leisure Centre.

Additional evening shifts and occasional daytime hours during school holidays may also be available.

You will be setting up sports equipment, occasional catering equipment for community events.

Over-seeing the fitness suite and children's parties and clubs.

Use and monitor our booking system, your Academy email account as well as other computer systems.

Assisting with the general running and operation weekends.

General administration and cleaning duties are also part of this role.

Previous experience of working in this type of role is desirable.

  • Reliable, proactive and professional, with strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Able to work independently, as part of a team, and in a busy, flexible environment.
  • Confident using ICT, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Skilled at building positive relationships with children and adults.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to deal with situations effectively.
  • Physically able to move and set up sports equipment.
  • A Level 2 Fitness or Sports Coaching qualification, Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate, and First Aid training are desirable.
