As part of the Oasis family, we exist to make a difference, to build stronger communities and enhance young people’s lives. Want to make a difference? Then this is a real chance to be central to the operations of a purpose-led organisation.
Looking for a varied HRBP role? Then our People Manager role could be a good fit. You'll lead on a wide variety of HR matters for the academies you support, overseeing and ensuring the successful delivery of people plans. This would suit a true generalist and you won’t work in isolation as you'll be supported by an experienced team and specialists in areas such as ER and recruitment.
About our People Manager - Bristol opportunity: The role is part of our People and Culture function, where we have a number of Centres of Expertise, looking to add value to our operations and ultimately support our key stakeholders in providing exceptional education to our students. The key aspect of the role is to be a true strategic partner to your key stakeholders, namely Principals and Department leads (national functions), and to deliver support on a wide range of people challenges. You'll do this where possible through coaching and proactive approaches to HR/people problems.
About you: You'll be a people person and happy to get into academies and get to know your key stakeholders (and ultimately understand why we do this job). You'll be someone who can influence leaders, backed up with a strong HR generalised background to be able to provide the support they need or don't realise they need! You will have managed (or come with a positive attitude and approach) to embed change, have experience being a first point of contact for ER matters and with prior experience in driving ‘people focused’ projects forward. Experience in a unionised environment is required; experience in Education will also be advantageous; however, we are open to exploring sectors where there are synergies to the challenges we may have.
