Oasis Academy Hadley is excited to offer an opportunity for a Primary Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join our inclusive and thriving all-through academy. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children's learning and wellbeing, while gaining a recognised qualification and hands-on experience in a school setting.

As part of Oasis Community Learning, a national trust of 56 academies, you will be supported to develop professionally while helping every child reach their full potential.

About the role: As a Primary Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you will:

  • Support teachers in delivering high-quality learning experiences within early years (0-5 years)
  • Support with physical care routines, e.g. changing nappies, toilet training and meal times
  • Work closely with pupils, including those with SEN
  • Provide in-class support, small group work and one-to-one interventions
  • Help promote pupils' wellbeing, independence and confidence
  • Support learning activities, behaviour, and inclusion across the primary phase
  • Participate fully in academy life, including training days, trips and professional development
  • Undertake a Early Years apprenticeship (Level 2) alongside your role
  • Provide classroom cover when required and play an active part in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

What we're looking for: You need to have:

  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent)
  • A genuine passion for working with children
  • Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and equal opportunities
  • willingness to work towards a Early Years qualification (Level 2)

It would be a bonus if you already have:

  • Experience working with children in a school or educational setting
