The predicted salary is between 19000 - 24000 £ per year.

Location: Gateshead

£23,588 per annum (The band goes up to £24,588 per annum, however, this is dependent on annual performance reviews).

Full-time role: 37 hours per week

Job Purpose: To support people placed in emergency accommodation into long-term placements in a flexible, person-centred, and creative way. Providing therapeutic structured support and in keeping with current pandemic regulations, identify needs through brief intervention models, plan and give clarity to people in what we can offer and help individuals to re-engage with services, advocate for them, and support them to build confidence and independence.

This role will be in addition to and working alongside the day services to offer more opportunities for people to access services when they need it most. Some of this will largely centre around substance misuse needs and mental health support, but also recognising the importance of therapeutic practice and the value in doing creative and fun activities.

It will be vital to engage with other services and understand the value of multi-agency and collaborative working to best meet people’s needs.

The successful candidate will work on a newly developed service in Gateshead and South Tyneside, and will work to support those sleeping rough or spending time on the streets carrying out activities like begging. They will engage with people in a person-led, trauma-informed way to help them access specialist support services and accommodation.

Additionally, the service will provide resettlement support to those who have moved from the street into accommodation, helping them to succeed in their new accommodation. They will take a multi-agency approach with support from their team and senior support, Oasis Community Housing services, and external partnerships and agencies to achieve the best possible support and outcomes for those who need it most.

Any offer of employment will be subject to satisfactory references, meeting essential criteria, and Enhanced DBS (dependent on role).
