Credit Controller – (12 Month FTC) – based in Milton Keynes, MK5
Job Purpose
- An opportunity has arisen with one of our clients for a
- Credit Controller on a
12-month fixed-term contract at their Head Office.
Working within a centralised Credit Control team, you will manage your own ledger, collect outstanding payments by phone and email, and build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
This role would suit an experienced Credit Controller who thrives in a busy, fast-paced finance environment.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Manage a designated portfolio of sales ledger accounts and ensure timely collection of outstanding debts.
- Chase overdue accounts by telephone, email and written correspondence.
- Handle customer queries and liaise with internal departments to resolve issues promptly.
- Negotiate payment arrangements and settlements on overdue accounts.
- Approve the release of held orders in line with company procedures.
- Assess customer creditworthiness and set appropriate credit limits.
- Open new credit accounts and carry out regular credit risk reviews.
- Monitor and mitigate credit risk, escalating concerns where necessary.
- Maintain accurate customer records and update collection activity within finance systems.
- Support monthly collection targets, contribute to team performance, and comply with company Health & Safety policies.
