Accounts Assistant – Permanent- based in Rugby, CV23

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our clients dynamic team. This role is integral to supporting our finance department with a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage invoices and accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate inputs and payments to suppliers.
  • Handle accounts receivable, including sending invoices and addressing phone enquiries.
  • Follow up on outstanding debts and assist with debt recovery processes.
  • Reconcile bank statements and account statements, resolving discrepancies.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Perform general ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks as required.
  • Maintain accurate and organised financial records.

Person Specification:

We are looking for a motivated individual with a strong work ethic, excellent organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will be a team player who can also work independently and communicate effectively.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in an accounting role.
  • Part-qualified or studying for ACCA/CIMA, or qualified by experience (QBE) preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with Xero software is an advantage.

Hours of Work:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Work Location:

  • This role is entirely office-based.
