We know leading an academy is a tough job requiring resilience and flexibility, especially one located in the heart of a recognised low socio-economic area of disadvantage which is why we wrap around an unrivalled support network of peers (such as your dedicated Regional Director - Heidi Stennett) and innovative educators to lean on and develop alongside; all aligned with the Oasis vision to deliver exceptional education within the heart of our communities, whilst providing the autonomy to put your stamp on your school.
You will help develop and design the Oasis Curriculum at Oasis Academy Wintringham and lead the implementation of a rich curriculum that delivers to the needs of YOUR community whilst being given access (where needed) to expertise and experience to help our shared vision come alive. You’ll co-devise, own and deliver the strategic roadmap that will take Wintringham from Good to beyond whilst working in partnership with both Oasis Community Learning and North East Lincolnshire County Council.
About the role: As an experienced Headteacher/Principal (or an exceptional Senior Leader) with a background in educational improvement and pastoral care, you know that the role of Principal is the driving force, leading voice, innovation and vision behind a school's success. You’ll also know the importance of being present and visible for students, staff and parents alike - from manning the gates to walking the corridors and everything in between.
Beyond the strategic direction you will provide inspiring leadership, ensure high standards of teaching and learning and continually work to cultivate a positive and supportive school culture for staff, students and our local community of parents, carers and other stakeholders. You will be excited by the challenge of leading and motivating a team of committed educationalists to move an educational establishment with huge potential into an exceptional place of learning. A place that will offer inspiration and enhanced prospects to the young people within our communities.
With proven techniques and strategies to achieve systemic improvement, your direction, supported by an outstanding network of experienced peers, will be the key ingredient we seek. You will present as a resilient, creative and effective change agent that brings everyone together in a shared vision that has student success and achievement at its very heart.
