We are recruiting a creative and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our students and teachers in delivering excellent outcomes for all.
Applicants must have good interpersonal skills and be adaptable and resourceful when helping students with different needs and backgrounds, including those with emotional and social difficulties. Most of all, we need passionate people who want to make a difference to vulnerable students.
Previous experience of working with young people is essential.
You will be working with a supportive and dedicated team of staff who believe all students deserve our full support to achieve their very best. We have a strong programme of staff development and opportunities to work with a wide variety of professionals in the academy, local community, and wider Trust.
To be successful in this role you will
- Ideally have at least NVQ Level 3
- GCSE Level C or above in English and mathematics
- Good literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills
- Calm and adaptable with an ability to work within a flexible and busy environment
- Ability to build good relationships with children and adults
- High expectation of behaviour and ability to challenge without confrontation
- Understanding of students\β personal as well as academic needs and to treat with respect
- Able to empower children to access all areas of the curriculum and to achieve their maximum potential
