We are now seeking a Deputy Principal who is energised by community, motivated by challenge and excited by the opportunity to help shape an academy with enormous potential. As Deputy Principal, you will be part of a robust leadership network, including your newly appointed Principal, Regional Director and Executive Principal, each offering guidance, insight and steadfast support as you step into this role. This is also an opportunity to build a strong working partnership and a shared vision with your Principal, aligning your leadership strengths to drive the academy forward. You will play a meaningful role in shaping our long term strategic direction, helping to craft a curriculum that reflects the spirit, identity and aspirations of the Don Valley community. About the Role

A Deputy Principal is the anchor of academy life; present, visible, supportive and influential in the day to day rhythm of the school. As a key member of the Academy Leadership Team, you will play a central role in shaping the direction, culture and success of Oasis Academy Don Valley. Working alongside the Principal, you will:

  • Help shape and deliver the academy’s strategic vision, leading high impact improvement priorities across all phases
  • Champion exceptional teaching, learning and curriculum innovation, ensuring high expectations and meaningful inclusion for every learner
  • Lead safeguarding as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, fostering a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for all pupils
  • Inspire, coach and develop staff through compassionate, ambitious and values driven leadership
  • Use data, insight and strong professional judgement to drive rapid progress and secure excellent outcomes
  • Build powerful partnerships with families, the wider community and colleagues across the Oasis network
  • Strengthen a culture of belonging, ambition and emotional intelligence where both staff and students can flourish
  • Model the Oasis ethos through your daily actions, setting a tone of professionalism, integrity and hope

This role is ideal for an experienced senior leader with the drive, potential and moral purpose to progress to Principalship within the next 3–5 years.
