Oasis Academy Brightstowe is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Teacher of Art, Photography & Design Technology to join our Creative Arts faculty. This is an exciting opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering an engaging and innovative curriculum that inspires creativity, technical skill, critical thinking and self-expression. We are looking for a teacher who can motivate young people to develop their artistic, photographic and design capabilities while achieving excellent outcomes.

The Role

  • Teach Art, Photography and Design Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons that challenge and inspire all learners.
  • Foster creativity, confidence and resilience through innovative teaching approaches.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and the continual improvement of teaching and learning.
  • Promote enrichment opportunities including exhibitions, competitions, creative workshops and educational visits.
  • Play an active role in the pastoral life of the Academy, including form tutor responsibilities.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A degree in Art, Photography, Design Technology or a related subject.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for creative education.
  • Experience of teaching at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • High expectations for student achievement, behaviour and engagement.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and supporting the success of every learner.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and families.
