We have an exciting opportunity in Ripon for someone to join our Finance Crew as a full-time Assistant Accountant.
This is a fast-paced environment which involves clear thinking and the ability to multi-task.
As the Assistant Accountant, you will report into the Management Accountant.
You will gain exposure to month-end reporting, financial analysis and process improvement to ensure the finance function has robust financial controls in place.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with daily banking and cash reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments and financial reporting.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Support audits and compliance checks.
- Assist with stock and cost control administration.
- Provide general finance and administrative support as required.
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.
- Liaise with colleagues across the business to gather financial information and resolve queries.
Requirements
- Previous experience within a finance or accounting role.
- AAT Level 3 or above.
- Excellent Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
- A proactive mindset and genuine enthusiasm for finance.
- Professional, proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team.
