Oakwood is a mainstream secondary school which is inclusive and supports the individual needs of all our students. We have exciting opportunities for support staff to join our friendly and supportive team.

Hours: 30 hours per week Monday to Friday, 39 weeks per year

Salary: Surrey Pay Grade S3 to S5 - £17,442 - £21,223 (£24,330 - £29,604 FTE) depending on skills and experience

Due to our expanding pupil numbers, Oakwood is seeking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work within the Access to Learning Faculty (ALF). Teaching Assistants are required to work with students with complex needs on a 1:1 basis in class or in a withdrawal space as needed, with support from ALF Leaders.

The ideal candidate is likely to have some experience in working with young people but not necessarily in an educational establishment. The role is varied, and you will need to work with students to enable them to successfully access the curriculum. We are particularly keen for members to join our team who are passionate about building relationships and improving outcomes for students with autism and students with social, emotional and mental health needs.
