Oakwood School is seeking two committed, resilient and positive Behaviour Support Officers to join our pastoral team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of students by helping to create a calm, safe and purposeful learning environment where every child can thrive.
Working alongside the Behaviour Manager, pastoral teams and teaching staff, you will support students in making positive choices, overcoming barriers to learning and developing behaviours that enable them to achieve their full potential.
This post is offered on a two-year fixed-term contract ending on 31 August 2028 in the first instance, with the possibility of the role becoming permanent subject to organisational requirements and funding.
Job Purpose
To promote positive behaviour, engagement and wellbeing by providing operational support to students and staff. The postholder will supervise students, support behaviour interventions, contribute to restorative approaches and assist in maintaining a safe, calm and purposeful learning environment.
