Oakwood Engineering Solutions is a specialist structural steel detailing and digital engineering business with established Tekla teams in the UK, Poland, and Romania. We work closely with UK fabricators on complex projects, producing clear, buildable Tekla models and drawings that stand up in fabrication and on site.
The role involves:
- Producing high-quality Tekla models and drawings for structural steel projects
- Managing your own packages from initial modelling through to fabrication and erection support
- Liaising directly with internal team members, fabricators, and engineers
- Working collaboratively with the wider Tekla team to deliver coordinated project outputs
- Helping identify and resolve buildability issues early
- Working to agreed programmes and quality standards without constant supervision
This is not a production-line role. We value accuracy, clarity, and doing things properly.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong experience using Tekla Structures in a structural steel environment
- A solid understanding of fabrication, connections, and site constraints
- Confidence running your own work and communicating clearly
- Project-running experience is desirable but not essential for the right candidate
- A practical, reliable approach and professionalism
Development and progression:
- Opportunity to work on a range of complex bridge and building structures
- Support and mentoring available for candidates looking to develop bridge detailing experience
- Scope to broaden technical capability and responsibility over time, based on aptitude and interest
What we offer:
