We are currently supporting a consultancy based in London, who are hiring an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join its growing technology team. Our client is undertaking significant cloud and infrastructure transformation initiatives and is looking for a skilled engineer to help design, build, and support scalable, secure cloud platforms. As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, implementation, and ongoing optimisation of cloud-based infrastructure solutions. You will work closely with DevOps, security, and application teams to ensure the cloud environment is resilient, cost-effective, and aligned with best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Support and optimise CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native services
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security, implementing improvements where required
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and provide third-line support when needed
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver cloud solutions aligned with business requirements
- Contribute to cloud governance, security standards, and best practices
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a Cloud Infrastructure or Cloud Engineering role
- Strong hands‑on experience with AWS and Azure infrastructure
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments
- Experience with Linux and/or Windows-based systems
- Familiarity with containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Exposure to monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch)
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure)
