About The Venue Role Purpose
We are looking for a Senior Hospitality Technology Technician to join the Retail and Hospitality Technology team, reporting to the Head of Retail and Hospitality Technology. This is a senior individual contributor role with scope to lead on projects, act as an escalation point for complex issues and drive continuous improvement across EPOS technology in OVG's UK and European venues. The role is field-based and London-centred, with some regional travel and occasional international travel for venue openings, major events or system launches. Day‑to‑day, the core hours are Monday to Friday, with planned out‑of‑hours and weekend availability required around event‑day operations, upgrades and go‑lives.
You will be a subject matter expert that operational teams turn to when things get complicated, someone who understands both the technology and the environment it runs in and who can communicate clearly across technical and non‑technical audiences alike.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing first‑line and escalation support for EPOS technology systems across OVG venues in the UK and Europe - diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently with full ticket tracking via the OVG IT support system.
- Support venue openings and own smaller‑scale projects, including planning, coordination with internal teams and successful delivery.
- Carrying out routine preventative maintenance, including vendor‑instructed software updates.
- Acting as subject matter expert for EPOS and hospitality technology, delivering training to operational teams and producing clear, practical documentation and SOPs.
- Collaborating with Enterprise Technology teams to identify and resolve site‑based connectivity, infrastructure, or integration issues.
- Working with vendors and third‑party partners to manage issue resolution and deliver system enhancements.
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across system performance and usability.
- Providing on‑site technical support at venues where remote resolution is not sufficient, including during major events or go‑live.

What We're Looking For
- An experienced hospitality technology professional with a solid track record supporting EPOS systems in live, operational environments.
- You will be equally comfortable working a support ticket queue, managing a project and standing in front of an operational team to deliver training.
- 3+ years supporting EPOS systems in a live hospitality or venue environment.
- Hands‑on experience with Oracle Micros Simphony in an operational setting.
- Experience with payment device integrations and PCI‑DSS awareness.
- Multi‑site or multi‑venue support experience.
