The Assistant Manager is responsible for all technical related matters, not limited to identifying and assessing technical training needs, creating tailored training plans, and implementing various technical training methods to enhance staffs’ skills and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring all services and repairs comply with manufacturers guidelines and protocols
- Investigating and responding to customers feedback to the team
- Ability to analyze and diagnose detected parts or components and provide effective solutions to HODs or customers
- Supporting HODs in addressing customer questions and complaints in relation to our products, e.g. ICE truck & bus and high voltage vehicles
- Providing HODs support for special tools and workshop equipment
- Performing fault finding, diagnosis, and repair (e.g. all ICE engine, turbo charger system, CAN bus)
- Performing fault finding, diagnosis, and repair (e.g. all EV system, battery management system, CAN bus)
- Submitting technical reports
- Supporting the workshop in repair and servicing when needed from time to time
- Advising and performing in-depth and comprehensive troubleshooting in technical problems with diagnostic tools, raised by the team, and performing hands-on repair to the vehicle/components if needed
- Participating in every PTOs/LTA schedule meeting for all technical matters
- Working with HODs to evaluate individual performance to ensure training meets business needs and improves performance
- Identifying training needs by consulting HODs and planning in-house training programs, external courses for them
- Developing and delivering training that meets future business objectives
- Meeting training needs for the company in-house training plan on EV upskilling skills for staff
- Ensuring the training KPI on mandatory technical e-learning is 100% achievable (MAN)
- Ensuring the training performance bonus target is 100% achievable (MAN)
