We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Assistant Engineer to support our maintenance team in ensuring the smooth operation of all machinery and equipment. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong technical foundation and is eager to learn and grow within a maintenance engineering environment. The Assistant Engineer will assist with routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs while ensuring safety and efficiency in all tasks.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers in routine maintenance tasks and repairs on equipment
- Perform in house repair of Electro optics equipment
- Aid in diagnosing and addressing minor issues promptly to reduce downtime
- Help carry out scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to keep equipment in optimal condition
- Record maintenance activities accurately, including repairs, replacements, and inspections, under the guidance of senior engineers
- Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and regulations; actively maintain a safe working environment
- Assist in managing spare parts inventory, notifying senior staff of low stock and needed reorders
- Work closely with the maintenance and production teams to complete tasks and support the overall maintenance strategy
