Are you passionate about ground keeping, teamwork, and delivering exceptional service? Vertas is looking for a dedicated Grounds Person to join our Facilities Team.

About the Role: Based in the Ipswich Region you will be working 37.5 hours a week for 52 weeks of the year on annualised hours. You'll play a key role in maintaining public spaces such as parks, office grounds, and local grass verges among other areas, ensuring that all are kept neat and tidy and to the highest standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carry out routine tasks such as mowing, strimming, edging, and leaf clearance.
  • Operate and maintain grounds machinery and hand tools safely.
  • Report faults, arrange servicing, and ensure equipment is stored securely.
  • Collect and dispose of litter, debris, and green waste responsibly.
  • Assist with recycling initiatives and sustainable grounds practices.
