About the Role: Based at Bunny CE Primary School, NG11 6QW, you will be working 25 hours per week, 39.2 weeks per year. As School Chef, you will take the lead in delivering high quality meals, ensuring smooth daily kitchen operations and maintaining excellent standards of food safety and hygiene.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, cooking, and serving nutritious meals in line with school standards
  • Managing kitchen operations and ensuring efficient delivery of service
  • Supervising and supporting kitchen staff where required
  • Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
  • Managing stock, ordering supplies and minimising waste
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations

Who are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment
  • Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Enhanced DBS check is required - if you do not currently hold one, you must be willing to obtain it
