We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Maintenance Officer to support property condition inspections across a variety of external environments including garages, roads, forecourts, and general street scenes. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual with a background in building studies or property maintenance to join a supportive team on a 6 month basis.

Competitive hourly rate: £20.00 PAYE or £26.29 Umbrella

As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for inspecting and reporting on the condition of external property assets, including paved areas, brickwork, and general infrastructure.

Duties will include:

  • Conducting site visits to assess dilapidated or damaged areas
  • Taking photographs and collecting detailed condition evidence
  • Producing accurate Schedule of Condition reports
  • Undertaking surveys using appropriate techniques
  • Compiling findings into structured reports and spreadsheets
  • Working both independently on-site and collaboratively with office-based administrative support

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum HNC/HND in Building Studies or relevant experience
  • A solid understanding of:
    • Basic Health & Safety legislation (including the Health & Safety at Work Act)
    • Schedules of Condition and their application
    • Surveying techniques and site inspections
  • Strong IT skills, including the ability to produce spreadsheets and written reports
  • A full UK driving licence (essential for site visits)

Equipment provided (including camera for site inspections)

A mix of field-based and office-based working
