About the Role
Opus People Solutions are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of Bromsgrove District Council & Redditch Borough Council for a Parks & Greenspaces Administrative Support Officer. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and customer-focused individual to contribute to the effective delivery of vital community services. Supporting the Parks and Greenspaces team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of services that directly impact local residents and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as a first point of contact for residents, tenants, and stakeholders via email and telephone
- Maintaining accurate records, databases, and filing systems
- Supporting the coordination of meetings, including preparation of agendas and minute-taking
- Managing correspondence and responding to enquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Liaising with internal colleagues, contractors, and site representatives
- Assisting with allotment administration, including tenancy records and waiting lists
- Providing general administrative and technical support to the wider team
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Proven experience within an administrative or office-based role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence in using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and database systems
- A professional, customer-focused approach, with attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
