Are you passionate about cleaning, teamwork, and delivering exceptional service? Vertas is looking for a dedicated Cleaner to join our Facilities Team.

About the Role: Covering the areas of Long Eaton, Sandiacre, Heanor, Ilkeston, and Cotmanhay, this position is offered on a zero-hours contract, working on an ad hoc basis to support business needs. You'll play a key role in maintaining high cleaning standards, ensuring sites are clean, safe, and welcoming - consistently meeting both our expectations and those of our customers.
Please note: You must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle, as travel between sites is required. Applications without this will not be considered.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning toilets and washrooms
- Wiping down tables and surfaces
- General cleaning duties across classrooms and communal areas
- Hoovering and mopping floors
- Ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained
Who are we looking for?
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Enhanced DBS check is required - if you do not currently hold one, you must be willing to obtain it
- Great communication skills and experience in similar cleaning setting
- A team player providing an excellent service across the Vertas Group
- The ability to make the best decisions with Vertas in mind
- The ability to adapt and respond to change in a growing organisation
