About the Role:

Based in Cambridge, CB2 8DU you will be working on a zero hour contract, covering both static and mobile positions when needed. You'll play a key role in safeguarding sites, responding swiftly to incidents, and delivering a professional service that reassures our clients and upholds Oakpark's standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect suspicious activities.
  • Monitor CCTV systems and utilise surveillance techniques to identify potential security threats.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing first aid as necessary.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when required.
  • Document all incidents accurately and report findings to management.
  • Assist in the implementation of loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism while interacting with clients, staff, and the public.
  • Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills related to security practices and first aid.

Who are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in a security role is preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge of first aid practices is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance techniques is an advantage.
  • Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A valid driving licence may be required depending on the location of duties.
