Are you passionate about caretaking, teamwork, and delivering exceptional service? Vertas is looking for a dedicated Caretaker to join our Facilities Team.

About the Role: Based at New Mills Nursery School, High Peak, SK22 4AQ, you will be working 12.5 hours a week, Mon - Fri 7am - 8am & 4pm - 5.30pm. You'll play a key role in providing high-quality caretaking services to oversee maintenance and cleanliness.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs.
- Making sure that heating, lighting and alarm systems are working properly.
- Carrying out and recording basic checks and maintaining Health and Safety records.
- Monitoring site stocks and undertaking cleaning duties.
- Demonstrating Health and Safety awareness and have a willingness to attend training courses including Health and Safety (all training will be provided).
- Ad-hoc duties require cover when council meetings & events lead into the evening late, setting up rooms - tables & chairs, tea & coffee refreshments.
- Cleaning will be required as deep cleans will need to be undertaken during office closed hours. Experience with use of cleaning machines from carpet cleaners, hard floor cleaners, high reached dusting equipment.
- PAT Testing experience would also be desirable in this role as undertaken throughout the whole building. Basic maintenance knowledge helpful for this role. Painting, repairs, putting up notice boards, etc.
