Oakpark Security Systems LTD is looking to recruit an experienced Operations Manager to assume direct responsibility for a portfolio of manned guarding operations across East Anglia and South Coast (Essex, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Midlands & Hampshire) circa £3 Million in annual value. You will be expected to provide clear and directed leadership across your portfolio and ensure that all client requirements are met in accordance with the agreed contract specification.

Please note: This role will include fully expensed travel across our Operating area when required, particularly to our South Coast or Midlands Office in Fareham. The role will also involve being part of the company's on-call Duty Manager roster to deal with emergencies - Currently 1 week in 3. Applicants must be able to commit to both of the above criteria.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Staffing and rostering for a designated commercial security portfolio (Manned Guarding).
  • Full P&L responsibility, including customer retention, payroll and commercial analysis.
  • Promote Vertas Group's 'Customer First' ethos by proactive engagement with customers through in person visits, Teams meetings and regular email communication.
  • Compliance with all company KPI's relating to training and Health & Safety.
  • Engagement with colleagues and the building of relationships to assist in promoting a high standard of performance on our customer accounts. The ability to coach colleagues and ensure positive outcomes of performance is key.
  • Rapid, comprehensive and documented resolution of any customer or staff queries/complaints/issues that may arise.

Technology Skill Level

  • Comfortable with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Full training on our Patrol Management system - TrackTik - will be provided during the induction period.

Candidate Specification:

  • A dynamic and driven individual with the ability to organise and prioritise workload in order to deliver exceptional standards of customer service.
  • Candidates must have the flexibility to accommodate unsociable hours working if required (for example, to visit staff who only work nights).
  • Ability to manage own workload and diary in order to meet core commitments. The ability to manage emails and ensure a timely response to staff and customer communication is critical.
  • Experience with commercial dimensions of account management would be an advantage.
  • Must be in possession of a valid SIA licence (or willing to undertake a fully funded licensing course).
  • Must be able to satisfy the vetting checks as per BS7858.
  • At least 3 years' proven experience of Account or Operations Management within the last 5 years.
  • Candidates have a full manual UK driving licence (no more than 3 points).
