About the Role:

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized environment across the site. This role involves managing the car park, performing basic maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and acting as a point of contact for clients. The position requires flexibility to support occasional additional duties and contribute to the smooth operation of the facility.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in facilities, maintenance, or a similar role preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work.

Working Conditions

  • Full-time position with occasional requirement for early mornings or late finishes depending on site needs. These will be given in advance notice.
  • General hours will be Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm with 30 minute unpaid break.
  • Role involves both indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  • Pay rate £13.21 per hour.
  • Temporary contract until September, with the possibility of extension.
  • Two possible work locations: Birmingham Children's Trust Aston B6 4DU.
