The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

Fixed term contract from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2027, full time, 5 days per week. Full time working days: 190 days per year (188 term days plus 2 staff preparation days). The role is a non‑teaching post within allocated subject areas to support the smooth running of the departments and relieve teaching staff from tasks that do not require teaching qualifications. The CSO reports to the Senior Leadership Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise whole classes during short‑term teacher absences and provide additional cover across the school.
  • Supervise students in extracurricular activities, detention, study or homework clubs and run intervention sessions with materials provided by teachers.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support for the department(s) and liaise with teaching and support staff, parents/carers, students and external agencies.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people in a school environment.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Willingness to support a range of subject areas and supervising responsibilities.

  • Training in school systems and practices will be provided.
