We are recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee the commercial delivery of major construction projects across the UK. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience across new‑build construction schemes, with healthcare sector exposure considered highly advantageous due to the technical, compliance‑driven nature of the work. You’ll play a key part in ensuring the project is delivered on budget, commercially protected, and aligned with contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial management from pre‑construction through to final account
  • Prepare cost plans, forecasts, CVRs, and cashflow reports
  • Manage procurement, tender analysis, and subcontractor appointments
  • Administer contracts and issue required notices
  • Oversee monthly valuations and assess subcontractor applications
  • Manage variations, change control, and commercial risk
  • Support site teams with commercial guidance and decision‑making
  • Negotiate and agree final accounts with clients and subcontractors

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior QS commercial, or infrastructure projects
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple packages and deadlines
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience
