About Us

Glynn Court is a warm, welcoming residential home with a strong family feel. We believe that life should remain full, lively, and connected at every age. We’re now looking for someone who shares that belief — someone who can bring joy, creativity, and meaningful engagement into the daily lives of our residents.

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Activities Co‑ordinator who can create a vibrant, stimulating environment within the home. This role is perfect for someone who loves talking to people, organising activities, and making every day feel purposeful and enjoyable for our residents. You’ll be the person who brings energy, companionship, and fun into the home — helping residents stay active, socially connected, and part of the wider community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver a varied programme of daily activities, events, and themed sessions
  • Build relationships with local groups, schools, churches, hobby clubs, and community organisations
  • Arrange visits, performances, and intergenerational activities
  • Support residents to maintain their interests, hobbies, and sense of identity
  • Bring creative ideas that spark conversation, laughter, music, movement, culture, and connection
  • Help position Glynn Court as a lively, welcoming place that the community enjoys being part of
  • Contribute to a warm, uplifting atmosphere that enhances residents’ wellbeing and may attract new residents over time

Who We Are Looking For

We would love to hear from someone who:

  • Is friendly, confident, and enjoys meeting new people
  • Has a good understanding of community life and enjoys being involved in it
  • Is mature, grounded, patient, and able to build meaningful relationships
  • Loves organising activities and making things happen
  • Has a warm, engaging presence — someone residents genuinely look forward to seeing
  • Having a background in care, and particularly some knowledge of dementia, is desirable. What matters most is heart, initiative, and community spirit.
