OakNorth Bank is looking for a strong In-House Banking and Finance transaction execution Director, specialising in Funds Finance and Structured Finance to join OakNorth in the next stage of our company’s growth. This role sits within our Legal and Transaction Management department in London and requires experience in a wide range of banking and finance transactions, including funds finance and structured finance facilities. The candidate will need to work within tight timelines and align with the OakNorth values of working as one team and delivering a high-quality product to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Work with prospective borrowers to agree deal structures and advise the Business Development and Credit teams to ensure structures of deals comply with terms of credit sanction.
  • Ensure Term Sheets are agreed with the Credit teams and borrowers in a time efficient manner for transactions to be commenced quickly.
  • Instruct and manage external and internal lawyers on the drafting of finance documents.
  • Instruct and manage internal lawyers for the review of finance documents and management of transactions.
  • Manage a number of transactions simultaneously and facilitate all CPs to be satisfied as quickly as possible.
  • Become an expert in the use and management of the Bank's CRM and Digital platforms to ensure that the business has full visibility on deal closings and pipeline.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience of a wide range of finance transactions and clear understanding of all types of deal structures. Experience to include (not all required) structured finance (including loan on loan lending, participations, co-lending structures), funds financing including NAV facilities, GP facilities, hybrid facilities, capital call and liquidity facilities.
  • Candidates should ideally have a minimum of 5 years’ PQE.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of banking transaction documentation.
  • Highly skilled transaction management, negotiation skills and structuring experience to be able run transactions independently.
  • Clear attention to detail on all deal structuring and transaction documents.
  • Ability to build trust with deal team, clients and senior internal stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work in teams and demonstrates ability to remain calm under pressure.
