The role of a Director involves independently originating high-quality new deals aligned with OakNorth’s mission to support high-quality entrepreneurs and profitable, growing businesses. Full end-to-end ownership, a strong focus on credit discipline, and driving customer satisfaction are essential. Embrace and embody OakNorth’s entrepreneurial attitude.
You will:
- Originate, structure, and execute transactions meeting OakNorth’s lending requirements
- Manage and develop existing customer relationships, and identify new market opportunities
- Collaborate on corporate finance, real estate, property, and trading business transactions
- Enhance the bank’s profile in the external market among SMEs, KBIs, advisors, and private equity firms
- Assess growth opportunities for OakNorth Bank
- Spread financial accounts and models
- Analyze financial accounts, prepare credit memoranda, and manage information flow
- Evaluate financial models, forecast cash flows, and sensitivities to assess debt capacity and repayment ability
- Ensure transactions are documented according to credit approval and sanctions
- Meet targets related to profit, credit quality, new customers, retention, and satisfaction
- Oversee ongoing relationship management and client experience
- Drive product innovation to improve customer experience while maintaining asset quality
- Maintain high levels of customer service
- Achieve team and individual targets set by leadership
- Structure transactions and prepare full credit reports for sanctioning
- Maintain close client relationships and report to Credit in line with policy
- Uphold OakNorth’s values consistently
You have:
- Deep understanding of SME lending within trading businesses
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Good knowledge of business processes, strategy, and credit policies
- Strong credit analysis, financial modeling, and credit paper writing skills
- Experience analyzing senior, stretched senior, and mezzanine cashflow transactions
- Legal documentation experience
- Ability to present credit cases to credit committees
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Degree in Finance, Commerce, or equivalent
