We are currently seeking a Welding professional to deliver and coordinate the successful completion of Welding & Fabrication qualifications for a well-established training provider. The Welding Instructor role will require you to be involved in teaching, coaching and mentoring young learners undertaking Welding qualifications. You will be a time served Welder / Fabricator and ideally hold a level 2 or above qualification in a Welding & Fabrication discipline.

Ideally, you will have experience delivering training and will possess either an Assessor's Award or a teaching qualification (PTLLS or above). If you do not hold these qualifications but have a genuine desire to move into a training role, enjoy working in a learning environment and are a time served Welder, my client would like to hear from you. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

You will be based at a training centre in Hull, but may be required to visit other centres in the Humberside region, so you will need a full UK driving license and use of your own car.

THE ROLE OF WELDING INSTRUCTOR:

To deliver and coordinate the successful completion of all aspects of welding qualifications delivered at a high-tech training facility (classroom-based delivery). Training learners in the centre towards agreed qualifications in line with relevant awarding body standards.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 4 years' relevant occupational experience as a time served welder / fabricator
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Experience of working with young people

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Level 2 (or above) welding qualification
  • Knowledge of welding, pipe fitting, plating and sheet metal work
  • Assessor Qualification- A1, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent (desirable)
  • Teaching qualification (desirable)

This position is subject to Enhanced DBS clearance.
