We are currently seeking an engineering professional to deliver and coordinate the successful completion of qualifications for a well-established training provider.

Based from home, with travel across the Hampshire area, the Machining Assessor role will require you to be involved in assessing, coaching and mentoring young learners undertaking L3 engineering qualifications. You will be a time-served engineer with Machining experience (CNC, turning, drilling & milling) and hold a level 3 or above in engineering. Ideally, you will have experience delivering apprenticeships in a previous role and will possess your assessor award (A1, CAVA, TAQA or equivalent). If you do not hold this qualification but have a genuine desire to move into a training role, enjoy working in a learning environment and hold sound experience in the engineering sector, my client would like to hear from you. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

THE ROLE OF ENGINEERING ASSESSOR (MACHINING)

To deliver and coordinate the successful completion of all aspects of engineering qualifications delivered in the workplace. Training learners towards agreed qualifications in line with relevant awarding body standards. We are looking for applicants that are self-motivated, a team player and have a 'hands-on approach' to work within this rewarding environment.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: ENGINEERING ASSESSOR (MACHINING)

  • Minimum 5 years' relevant occupational experience within machining (milling / turning / CNC)
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Experience of working with young people

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES: ENGINEERING ASSESSOR

  • Level 3 (or above) engineering qualification
  • Assessing and Teaching qualifications (desirable)
  • Hold a full UK driving license

This position is subject to Enhanced DBS clearance.
