OVERVIEW: ELECTRICAL TRAINING OFFICER We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineering professional with a genuine desire for people development. You will be trained to provide high quality training to young learners and corporate clients. The successful candidate will have a genuine desire to move into a training role, enjoy working in a learning environment and hold experience in the Electrical Maintenance / Installation Industrial sector. If you already hold an assessor award or teaching qualification (or both) that’s great! If not, full training will be given. JIB card holders will be advantageous! You will experience of Containment Installations, first fixing, second fixing and inspection and testing along with certification experience with EIC, EICR and minor electrical installation works certification to current BS7671 and GN3 standards within the electrotechnical sectors. You will be based at a training centre in Scunthorpe, but may be required to visit other centres in the Humberside region, so you will need a full UK driving license and use of your own car. THE ROLE OF THE ELECTRICAL TRAINING OFFICER To deliver and coordinate the successful completion of all aspects of Electrical qualifications delivered at a high-tech training facility. Train learners towards agreed qualifications in line with relevant awarding body standards. We are looking for applicants that are self-motivated, a team player and have a ‘hands on approach’ to work within this rewarding environment. ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: ELECTRICAL TRAINING OFFICER Minimum 5 years’ relevant electrical occupational experience Occupation qualifications at L3 or above Teaching qualification or/and assessor award (desirable) Good communication and presentation skills Experience of working with young people Full UK driving licenseSALARY/BENEFITS: ELECTRICAL TRAINING OFFICER 37-39K starting salary (depending on experience & qualifications) Flexible working environment Excellent Company Benefits Package and genuine career development opportunities/qualification development opportunities for the right candidate – this includes Life Assurance, Contributory Pension, Health Care and excellent holiday entitlement
