Are you a time served electrician who is looking for a career change? We are looking to speak with electricians who could see themselves in a training role. Full training is provided by the employer. The successful candidate will be trained to assess AM2 qualifications for a well-established training provider. You must hold your AM2 qualification and Gold Card to be considered for this position. Based at our learning centre in Southampton, Monday to Friday, days - no unsociable hours.

Salary/Benefits:

  • £38k-£40k starting salary
  • Further development, training and qualifications fully funded and provided
  • Monday - Friday - days - no evenings or weekends
  • 33 days annual leave (including BHs)

The successful applicant will have a genuine desire to move into a training role, enjoy working in a learning environment and passing on their skills and experience to the next generation. All training and qualifications will be provided by the employer.

The role of an AM2 Assessor:

  • Assess the AM2 qualification at a high-tech training facility.
  • Train learners towards agreed qualifications in line with relevant awarding body standards.
  • Ensure the highest of standards of learner completions are met and to monitor candidates' progress, including carrying out regular progression reviews and target setting.
  • Ensure all appropriate awarding body / funding body documentation is maintained and up to date.

Essential Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years' relevant occupational experience as a time served electrician
  • A desire to pass on knowledge and skills to the next generation

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • 18th Edition Electrical installation qualification
  • AM2 qualification
  • Gold Card
