Are you an experienced Hairdressing Tutor / Assessor looking for the next step in your career? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established training provider that is looking to extend their team.

You will be required to provide tutoring support and complete learner assessments up to Level 3 in Hairdressing. You will be in charge of a group of learners, supporting each individual via theory and practical based teaching. This is a part-time role, 20 hrs per week, based at a training centre in Manchester.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Train, assess, motivate and support learners on programmes towards achieving hairdressing qualifications.
  • Support, develop, implement and evaluate approved hairdressing training materials, promoting standardisation, use approved training methods to develop the learner and utilise every opportunity to support them to achieving their qualification in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the highest standards of learner completions are met and to monitor candidates progress, including carrying out regular progression reviews/additional support reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:

  • A1 Assessor Award (TAQA, CAVA, A1, D32/33 etc.)
  • Teaching qualification
  • Functional Skills qualifications at Level 2 (desirable)
  • L2 and 3 Hairdressing qualifications
  • L2 and L3 Barbering qualifications (desirable)
  • A minimum 5 years' occupational experience within Hairdressing
  • Excellent communication skills
  • This role is subject to a DBS check
