Fancy owning test solutions for analog and mixed-signal ICs that end up in high-speed systems used globally? This one's for the engineer who wants real ownership, not just ticking boxes on someone else's test plan. A well-established semiconductor design centre near Bristol is looking for a Staff Test Engineer to join their Test Engineering team - the group that sits right at the heart of product development, bridging design, product engineering, and offshore manufacturing to get silicon from tape‑out to full production.

What they'll be doing:

  • Developing and deploying wafer and package-level test solutions on the Advantest V93000 platform — hardware and software
  • Getting stuck into design reviews and DFT techniques (analog and digital)
  • Running ATE characterisation to make sure devices are robust and fully covered
  • Building reliability and qualification screening for life testing
  • Deploying solutions out to offshore OSAT partners and supporting production ramp‑up
  • Leading test review meetings and driving improvements in yield, test time, and efficiency

What they'll need:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar)
  • 3–5 years in semiconductor ATE testing
  • Advantest V93000 experience strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting offshore test/production environments
  • A solid grounding in high-speed mixed‑signal IC testing and high‑speed PCB design

Why it's a great move:

This is full product lifecycle exposure - design through to mass production, with genuine influence over performance, yield, and time-to‑market. It's a technical, collaborative environment where engineers are trusted to own problems end to end, with a clear path into senior technical leadership. Bristol - hybrid, 4 days on-site.
