This is an opportunity to take full ownership of DSP and FPGA architecture within a company operating at the forefront of Bluetooth and wireless analysis technology.

You’ll be joining a small, specialist team building highly sophisticated software-defined radio platforms, used by some of the most advanced engineering teams in the world to develop and debug next-generation wireless devices. This role sits right at the centre of it all - shaping how signals are processed, how systems are architected, and how hardware and software come together.

The Role

  • You’ll act as the technical authority for DSP and FPGA, with responsibility for both hands-on design and architectural direction.
  • Key areas include:
  • Owning DSP implementations across SDR platforms
  • Designing and optimising modems, filter structures, FFT pipelines, error correction and modulation schemes
  • Defining the hardware vs software boundary, working closely with protocol and embedded teams
  • Collaborating with RF and analogue engineers on low-power, high-performance system design
  • Driving new features and product innovation that directly impact end users
  • Acting as a senior technical voice, including customer interaction, demos, and industry events

This is a role where you’ll move between deep technical problem-solving and big-picture system design on a daily basis.

What They’re Looking For

  • Deep expertise in DSP and communication systems
  • Strong experience with software-defined radios (SDR)
  • Advanced FPGA development experience (Verilog and/or VHDL)
  • Strong understanding of modem design (tracking loops, equalisers, etc.)
  • Experience with error correction and modulation schemes
  • Someone comfortable with ownership, ambiguity, and autonomy

Nice to Have

  • Xilinx / Vivado
  • Low-power system design
  • Exposure to analogue/RF circuitry
  • C++, Python or MATLAB
  • Bluetooth or wireless protocol knowledge
  • Experience making architectural decisions

Why This Role Stands Out

  • True ownership of a critical part of the system — not just contributing, but defining
  • Work on complex, real-world RF systems at the cutting edge of wireless tech
  • Small, expert team → fast decisions, high impact, no red tape
  • Opportunity to shape product direction and influence the industry
  • Exposure to international events and customers
