Oakley Recruitment is working in partnership with an expanding organisation based in Tamworth. This is an excellent opportunity to join the team as an Events & Marketing Coordinator on a full-time permanent basis.

Package and Benefits

  • Monday to Friday – 8:30am – 5:00pm
  • Pension: 3% employer contribution, 4% employee contribution, 1% tax relief, pensions advisor to visit the site twice a year
  • Healthcare: All employees are entitled to the Health Assured Employee Assistance Programme from day one, providing a free 24hr confidential helpline on various issues. On completion of the 6-month probationary period, healthcare cash plan is available
  • Holiday Entitlement: 23 days holiday plus 8 statutory bank holidays. After 3 years’ service this increases to 24 days plus BH and at 6 years’ service it increases again to a maximum of 25 days plus BH. After completing 6-month probationary period, all employees are entitled to up to 5 days unpaid annual leave in addition to their paid allowance. This is pro-rata in the first part year, following probation.

Job Role:

  • Planning and coordinating event logistics for all trade shows and exhibitions
  • Coordinating with event organisers, suppliers and ensuring that everyone is briefed
  • Updating calendars, project management system and schedules for the events team
  • Producing monthly personal reports on own monthly activity, campaigns including the results of these
  • Planning and communicating advertising schedules and additional marketing bookings
  • Creating PIMs spreadsheet including creation of product codes, barcodes to Stage 1 to enable a PO to be raised by Procurement
  • Managing banner inventory for event support via our project management system
  • Coordinating sending event banners and the return of same and putting them back into stock
  • Taking responsibility for company Merchandise, checking stock each week & liaising with procurement when products need re-ordering
  • Ensuring content is kept up to date at all times
  • Managing product launch uploads with support from wider team
  • Acting as a brand guardian ensuring any marketing content is consistent
  • Taking part in regular department meetings for both online and offline marketing plans
  • Researching & coming up with topic ideas for YouTube, Podcast, Social Media etc
  • Assisting with monitoring the marketing inbox
  • Planning and implementing marketing campaigns – helping developing online and offline marketing campaigns that will suit both B2B and B2C audiences
  • Campaign idea planning & implementation and budget creation

Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years solid experience in events and marketing or a similar role
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Ability to work closely with all departments and third parties
  • Strong attention to detail with a creative approach
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, including Excel
